About Us

It is our mission at the Northbridge Youth Softball League (NYSL) to provide a safe, enjoyable and rewarding opportunity for girls ages 5 to 14 to participate in the great sport of softball. All registered players will be placed on a team and no player will be cut. Our purpose is in the development of fundamental softball skills and the importance of good sportsmanship, but in so doing we also look to achieve a greater objective: to assist in shaping the overall progression of these girls into honorable and contributing members of our community through the values of courage and teamwork. The fulfillment of exceptional athletic skills or the winning of ball games shall be secondary to our primary goal of developing ethical citizens.
The lessons learned regarding teamwork, good sportsmanship and respect, both in victory and in defeat, are our primary concern because these are the teachings all players will take with them throughout their lives.
